The ceremony is complete, the materials for constructing the booklets are in hand or on the way, and the altar box is in process. Sister Verity will supply the altar and we have many beautiful things between us to decorate our sacred space.

Mistress Lisa's Irish dress is nearly complete, although it has been a struggle.  This is the first time I've used this particular pattern and my usual ability to make changes according to available supplies has not worked.  On the outside, the dress is perfect.  On the inside, it is not at all up to my anal perfectionist standards.  Unfortunately, I have no time to re-make the dress so I will make it work for this occasion and then will tear it apart and start over. 

Oh, feh! I have to come up with something for Lisa to wear under the Irish.  Where in this tiny, over-cluttered house did I put those half-finished cotton gauze chemises . . . ?  And she needs an underskirt . . .  No, I'll not make her anything for now; she'll wear one of mine!

I still have Lancelot's shirt, pants and doublet to stitch.  Hmmm, can I remake one of His Lordship's sleeveless doublets for him?  Can I find one that will work?  More digging through the basement tub stash!

And I still have HRM's kirtle and coat to stitch. Hmmmm, that coat may be just a bit warm for Castleton in May . . .  No, she must have it for the ceremony.  I guess we'll put sleep on the back burner until the night of the 24th!  I do believe I will need a ride back to the inn on that night.  I intend to celebrate royally!  Pun intended! 

Alright, to the cellar!  We must forage for fabric!

And we get to do it again in just three short weeks!

The child is born and thriving, the holidays are over, winter has set it's claws and teeth, and the planning for 2008 and 2009 is in full swing.  Faires, festivals, handfastings, weddings, royalty, piracy, lunacy, etc., etc., etc.!

The daughter and "son-in-law" have opted for a handfasting this year and postponed the wedding until next.  Something about dream weddings and no money . . .

So . . . I need an Alesandre gown for the handfasting (I'm thinking red, black and gold) and a, "shudder," traditional "Mother's dress" for the wedding. 

OK, cancel the shudder, because I'm designing and making my own "Mother's dress."  Again, I'm thinking red, black and gold.  Traditional?  Not this gal!  I've already warned my darling daughter that I may strike the skirt from the outfit and make pants, instead!  What part of "not so well behaved" is she not getting? 

Gimme a "B!"  Gimme an "A!"  Gimme a "D!"  What's that spell?  BAD!  To the bone marrow, darlin's!  LOL!
