Home or favorite faire My first faire was KCRF and will always be a special place in my life. My home faire was the Amana Colonies Renaissance Festival - Middle Amana, Iowa - Labor Day Weekend, but that has now become a thing of the past. HEY! RENNIE LOOKING FOR A HOME FAIRE HERE!

About Me

fionnamari.renspace.com I would be the one your mother warned you about, darlin’! I’m a feisty, redheaded Scotswoman with a weakness for fabric, chocolate, coffee, wine, ScotsMEN, babies, and jewelry. Did I mention fabric? Men? Fabric? Um, fabric? I have two beautiful children; a son named William Richard (Rich), a daughter named Candice Jo, and numerous assimilated children that I love as dearly as if they were my own. There are TEN grandchildren blessing my life! Six boys and four girls. If you start counting the assimilated grandchildren, you’ll run out of fingers and toes so just leave it at the fact that I have a large brood of younkers that call me Mom, Mama, Mumsy, Auntie, Nana, or Grandma! I'd need a personal shopper for birthdays and Yule gifts but it's too much fun doing it myself! I have been performing at faire since 1994; as HRM Alesandre Eleandor Fionna du Boisriver, Sovereign Ruler of Eilean Abhainn Darag, Countess d'Orkane, Queen Consort of HRM Aelric Langesax du Maizelonde (whew), but have recently retired and will be content just to play at wenching and pirating for now. That could change in a year or two, but Mumsy needs a vacation!

fionnamari.renspace.com I am an ordained minister of the Pagan faith, but my ministry is multi-faith and definitely multi-traditional. Willowcrafte recognizes and accepts all faiths. As Gandhi so eloquently put it, "The various religions are like different roads converging on the same point. What difference does it make if we follow different routes, provided we arrive at the same destination?"

fionnamari.renspace.com I am available to perform handfastings, weddings, funerals, baby blessings/baptisms, and blessings of homes or office space. I have a costuming/clothing business that is shut down for now, but one day, in the not too distant future, Mother Wench Productions will re-open it’s “doors,” and my sewing machine will smoke out wedding duds and Medieval/Renaissance garb once again. Remember that vacation thing I mentioned earlier? And my recent purchase of a beautiful treadle sewing machine means I can sew on-site! For now, look for Fionna Mari, bar wench extraordinaire, or Ruby Rose, the pirate lass with a penchant for all things rosy and red, at a faire or festival near you! She may very well be heralding for the joust but she'll definitely be causing trouble!

Music I have very eclectic taste in music and will listen to just about anything other than (c)rap. Music! Not noise! I love music with passion and heart! Dissonance makes me cringe!

Movies Comedy, drama, old musicals, old "horror" flicks, and Disney. Don't try to pass off gore and noise as entertainment if you want me to watch a movie. I'd really rather you left it to my imagination.

TV I spend little time watching television but do enjoy "Dancing With The Stars," "Grey's Anatomy," the "CSI" dramas, and home repair/remodeling shows on Discovery channels.

Books Historical fiction, a bit of sci-fi, and lots and lots of religious texts.

Likes FABRIC! Coffee, chocolate, wine, snuggling with my bear, the Northwest coast, men in kilts, fabric, men in tights, fabric, men, fabric, jewelry, fabric, dogs, cats, birds, my kids, fabric, my grandbabies, . . . did I mention fabric?

Dislikes Hatred, prejudice, stupidity, blue cheese

With the return of Captain Victoria Sparrow's two eldest offspring, and the need to purchase a larger ship to hold the growing crew, the re-opening of Mother Wench Productions will not happen any earlier than 2010 season. I will, however, be taking orders, once again, for custom costuming and wedding attire.

However, with three captains now sailing together, we have elected to hold Pirate Court at the events we attend. 2009 season should be fun and quite interesting! More later!

And the family continues to reunite!

Sparrow's two eldest children will once again be with the family, at long last! They are coming home, for good!

Please, please, please come join us at Great Plains October 18-19 when the crew of the Red Wytche will be in full force, including the new cabin boy! ROFLMAO! Love ya, Snort!

Change in plans . . . again

Plans have changed and the crew of the Red Wytche will not be storming the gates at KCRF this year. But we'll definitely be heading to Great Plains in October!
